Year 5 and Year 6

Mrs Kukula:

Class Teacher and Deputy Head  

My name is Mrs Kukula and I will be your class teacher - This will be my 28th year of teaching full time and I absolutely love my job.  I am also the Deputy Head teacher.

In our class we will have a mix of Year 5 and Year 6 children.  It can be daunting starting a new year group but I will help you to get organised and plan so that you will succeed.

As you all mature socially and physically, I will recognise your potential and provide a wealth of opportunities for collaborative working and risk-taking.  I will encourage you to have an open mind both academically and socially.  I encourage you to value and respect yourselves and each other, showing consideration for all.

I am looking forward to working with you and watching you grow into confident and independent learners.

 WEEKLY HOMEWORK- EVERY THURSDAY

Children need a plastic wallet for homework sheets.

Maths and Reading Comprehension.  This needs to brought back to school the following week for further classwork and marking.

SPELLING

Year 5 and Year 6 have weekly spelling tests which follow the National Curriculum Statutory spelling lists.

You will get new spelling lists and homework to help you learn these rules and spellings.  Work needs to be neat, well presented in blue ink (not biro).

Year 6 Robinwood 2023

A fantastic residential trip for our Year 6 children.  Great team building, pushing to the limits and testing our individual limits outside our comfort zone!  Many happy memories.
